Born and based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Having done her PhD on Hannah Arendt's work on imagination as a source of collective action (EUI, Firenze), Svjetlana Nedimović had briefly taught political theory in Sarajevo and then devoted herself to editorial work and, over the last 15 years, grassroots struggles for various causes in BiH such as  social, urban and environmental justice, as well as political freedom. She is currently working as an organizer and strategist for an informal platform ZBOR created to unite resistance to unjust transition and extractivism across Balkans. She writes and publishes mainly in BiH, with occasional essays for Berliner Gazzette and others.
