New fellow in summer semester: Prof. Dr. Stefan C. Aykut

From April to September, Stefan C. Aykut (University of Hamburg) will be a Fellow at our Centre. He will use his fellowship to continue working on the main features of a sociology of limitation. On the one hand, the role of global climate conferences will be in the foreground, where new political forms of governance and forms of social coordination, but also new conflicts and fault lines in the social confrontation with the climate crisis will become visible. On the other hand, the modalities and mechanisms of the institutionalization of ecological boundaries in different societal sub-areas, especially in the financial sector and in national legal systems, will be investigated in exchange with the research group.
