Anna Clot-Garrell, PhD (Universitat de Barcelona) is a visiting postdoctoral Fellow at our Centre. She is currently working on the research project “The Politics of Imagined Climate Futures” that explores social responses to the climate crisis through examining the emergence of new climate movements in Barcelona. During the fellowship, she is analyzing the empirical data and prepares a publication based on the results of this research. Her academic profile has been developed through the study of different subjects combining theoretical and qualitative empirical work with a cultural sociology perspective.
The most recent publication is a paper published in Sociology journal in which she analyses persistence and transformation in Erving Goffman’s Total Institution: Clot-Garrell, Anna (2021) “Boundaries in the Making: Transformations in Erving Goffman’s Total Institution through the Case of a Female Benedictine Monastery” Sociology, 00380385211011573.
