Aurea Mota is an interdisciplinary sociologist whose contributions lie in the fields of historical sociology, modern spatiality, literary studies, gender, global entanglements, and the Anthropocene. Currently, she is developing a research project about the ‘deep history’ of humanity and the processes of global displacements. She is leading the working group “Connecting Natures in the Urban Context” in an EU funding COST-Action. She is a Research Professor at the Universitat Abat Oliba, CEU Universities in Barcelona.
