Every year Hamburger Horizonte organises a series of events regarding exchange about topics that deserve special attention in science and society. This year Hamburger Horizonte concentrated on water as an essential resource for life that is threatened by climate change, pollution and distribution conflicts. Therefore on the 15th of October hydrologist Martina Flörke, member of the environmental authority Hamburg Andreas Finckh and Frank Adloff discussed about “hidden water consumption” in the process of textile, food or electronic production. How can we handle the (global) water distribution and raise consciousness to this issue? The discussion was hosted and recorded by the Körber Stiftung. The video is available on their website.
