Marius Timmann Mjaaland is professor of philosophy of religion at the University of Oslo, working in the field of environmental philosophy, ethics, theology and phenomenology. He is heading the DEMOCRISIS research group at the Centre for Global Sustainability, with emphasis on Democracy and Climate Crisis across the natural, social and human sciences. Mjaaland is Climate Chair at the Circle U University Alliance and teaches several course on the Anthropocene. His current research focuses on responsibility for future generations and the philosophical question of time.
